Thesis Title: Getting into Mass Media: A Comparative Analysis of Social Movement Organizations and Mass Media Outlets in the Abortion Debate

I am an Assistant Professor who does work on mass media, social movements and the abortion issue. My current research projects include an examination of media outcomes in the abortion debate, an analysis of how the Internet is used in social movement media strategies and an examination of how contemporary elder organizations build social capital within communities and affect cultural change.
